Jeff BeezosJeff Bezos' head on a bee body. Six legs in a suit. Honey dripping from the mouth, same day.
Welcome to the floor. Orders come down the belt, bees fly to the cells, honey ships before the customer has finished reading the confirmation. Nobody in this hive has sat down since the founding memo.

Orders on the belt. Bees in the cells. Ship the honey.
Seven cells, six bees. An order names the cell it needs. Tap that cell while a bee is free and the honey ships; a bee needs a moment to fly back. Orders that wait too long cancel, and cancelled orders are the only thing this hive fears.

- Belt idle. Start the shift.
- Rule 1An order shows its cell and a countdown. Tap the cell in time and a free bee ships it.
- Rule 2Three cancellations end the shift. The founding memo is very clear about cancellations.
- Rule 3The belt speeds up. It always speeds up. Nobody has ever seen it slow down.

Ordered a jar of honey. A bee in a suit delivered it in nine minutes and asked if I had considered a subscription. I had not. I now have one.
The founder personally dripped on my parcel. Five stars for the honey. Zero stars for the eye contact.
Asked where the chairs were. Was told chairs are a legacy product. Sat on the floor. Honey arrived while I was sitting on the floor.
Returned a jar. The returns desk is a bee holding the jar out and not letting go. One star for the policy, five for the punctuality. The hive has never once been late.

Bee Empire
The belt is one shift. The empire is the long game: grow the colony, decide what to produce, expand into new ventures and live with the trade-offs every upgrade drags behind it.

The Hive Files
Six records pulled from the same warehouse as the belt: declassified, water-damaged and faintly sticky. Read them in any order; the hive certainly does not.
